What is Pristine Seychelles?

Pristine Seychelles campaign was launched in September 2018 by SSTF in cooperation with the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, the Seychelles Hospitality Tourism Association (SHTA), as well as the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA).
The campaign aims to raise awareness amongst visitors and encourage positive action to foster eco-friendly, responsible and meaningful tourism experiences in Seychelles, whilst actively building the skills of local cultural and ecotourism service providers and support them to increase their visibility and engagement in the tourism market.

Who is the campaign for?

The campaign is targeted at both local and international visitors of Seychelles, as well as local small businesses and entrepreneurs offering eco-tourism and cultural experiences, such as traditional cooking lessons, nature adventures, educational guided tours and the production of handcrafted souvenirs.

How are we achieving this?

The campaign is based around story-telling and inspirational, educational content on social media, as well as a series of targeted events and capacity building workshops for local artisans & entrepreneurs.
Activities, such as eco-tourism tours, are also organized to inspire younger Seychellois to follow a more sustainable tourism.

A series of videos have been produced to capture meaningful holiday experiences in Seychelles and
ways visitors and Seychellois can support local businesses and locally made products, cultural traditions
and savoir-faire, conservation projects and carbon offsetting initiatives.
